2010 Wellnitz Award
This honor is bestowed on head coaches that have displayed good sportsmanship during the season. Because of their example, the players, staff, and parents have shown respect for opponents and officials. The coaches that receive this award are voted on by the other coaches in their division.
The award was named for Kirk Wellnitz, a member of the Oregon Air Guard, who lost his life while in service to his country. His father, Bob Wellnitz, is the Commissioner of the Portland Officials. His continued commitment to the youth in our community is greatly appreciated by the Tualatin Valley Youth Football League.
